I don't care who you are. This is hard work. I've felled countless saplings in our woods to clean out the undergrowth, to make room for the good trees, and to grind up the wood for mulch (I'm too cheap to buy it!) It's a long, arduous task. I can't imagine how many hours it would take to fell enough saplings to make a small shelter! This lady, if she does all of her own work, even if it's off-site, works hard to bring us this information. Thank you, ma'am!

Climbing that ladder is asking for trouble. Especially if you're a good way out, and all alone. Assuming anybody watching and thinking about replicating this is an adult. Well if you're an adult. You just go right on and do so. We all need to live with the consequences of our choice. I hope you will get too live with that decision. It's one thing to make a raised bed, and sleep on it a foot or two off the ground. It is another to trust sticks, climbing four or five feet high. Good luck, I have helped carry a man with a broken leg out of the woods. When he used a similar death trap to enter his deer stand. He fell three feet and broke his leg. Then laid out there in the snow for a few hours. Until my brother and I heard his shots. A couple more hours and I don't know if he'd have survived. I don't think he'd have lived through the night. But yall do as you please. Nobody should ever be protected from themselves. Except children and mentally disabled people. The rest of us are on our own. We have to live or die with our decisions.
