when you are born with a torque wrench in your bones and precision nanometer level measurement devices in your eyes, you dont need tools and can rebuild an engine in the dirt

I like how they just dump all the oil mixed water and packaging material on the ground. I bet they cover it with sand later. Natures garbage can... I bet the well water is safe to drink there with those safe practices.

It goes to show how much punishment a CAT engine can take. How much dirt and sand went into that engine Before it started ? You can't beat their engineering.

Wonder how long it actually took? I know they had a lot of help there. In USA this job would generally be completed by 1 or 2 mechanics at the most. I am impressed with what they accomplish with the tools and working conditions they have. However, In USA we also used those same type sockets and tools over 100 years ago. Why no change? Why no modernization? Why no torque wrench?[LOL] Maybe time is not an issue with the job and labor is less expensive than tools. enjoyed video thanks for sharing. Really enjoy watching different cultures and great things we all accomplish.

I watch this film with the large interest. The film is made really well. The film shows repair process such what at all he should not exist. Persons commenting on express their admiration, respect and fascination such "splendid" work and working people perfect skills. But only emotions are this, and emotions should not shadow realism in the opinion of the technique. Unfortunately, he does not have what here to admire. Looking on this film you should cry. Seeing this, hands they fall. This is not the repair of the engine. And the psicie of the engine. This factory should is done away immediately. Organizer or the owner of this small factory he is the totally irresponsible person, and for this what does he should be in the prison. The factory brings only losses. Loss for every one. He improves engines not so. One can so repair the plough to ploughing the ground, but not combustion engines. This is the work of the very low quality , at all beyond any category of the quality. 1955 come productive machines, what you can see, from years - 1970 last age. These machines and tools are exploited maximally and with the certainty not the zapewniająwymaganej of the quality. Tools and technical helps obsolete and clear lack umięjętności their of applying. I sympathize the customer which he charged the repair of this engine. Such engine will not ride long or at all. Let's sum up losses. Human losses in the figure of diseases or moral przemęczenia.Straty because of the accustomming the people to doing the bad deceitful work. The loss of electric energy. The loss matriałowe. Dirtying the environment. The customer loss which he paid for the bad work. After breakdown of such engine, the customer with the certainty will have to exchange the whole engine on new, because what he will not repair any more .Think the head a bit people, before you will write, that and splendid people miraculous production. I write this as the engineer of mechanics the designer and there were manager and the organizer of the production of machines.
