This was such a crazy fight to watch on pay per view, as a kid, and my Dad losing his mind. I remember showing my parents and thinking how crazy that was

December 6 2022 sadly the legendary Mills Lane passed at 85 years old. A former Marine and professional boxer with a NCAA championship himself in 1960 accumulating a record of 10-1, Lane was a man who wore many hats. A Chief Deputy Sheriff, a Nevda District Court Judge and District Attorney were also positions held by Mills Lane. He served his country with great integrity honor and honesty with an emphasis on justice for victims of crime. He will be missed by fans , family and many friends. " Lets get it on " Rest In Peace

One of the best refs in boxing. Also was a good amateur in his day. He had had a good few different careers in his life, can't remember them all He did a tv courtroom show where he was the judge for a couple years and he was very entertaining. RIP to an American great.

This was such a crazy fight to watch on pay per view, as a kid, and my Dad losing his mind. Later that year, when our phone books came out, it was a picture of a painting and the 2 people in the picture had only one ear. In the corner Tyson was scrawled in the corner. I remember showing my parents and thinking how crazy that was

Well of course, this was the infamous Ear Biting fight of Evander Holyfield. Mills Lane had to do his job as the ref. That's why he's considered one of the greatest boxing refs of all time. Young people just look at this clip and think he got Mike told and that's it. No, Mills did exactly what he was supposed to do.

As he should of been. Tyson is my favorite of all time. He was wrong. Mike owned it.. Tyson is still the man in my eyes. Holyfield wouldn't fight him till the end of Tyson's career anyway. Holyfield never wanted any of that, when he was in his prime. IRON MIKE
