Sources & further reading:

The past is a vast and mysterious land that begins at the big bang and ends in the present, expanding with each passing moment. It is the home of everything that came before, the key to understanding our present. Here we find the most amazing creatures to ever roam our planet, hundreds of millions of species so diverse that our imagination cannot do them justice. Unfortunately the past carefully guards its secrets.

How do you explain crocodiles, that are truly living dinosaurs, as well as many other reptiles? They are not colorful, don't have feathers and look kinda "boring"... What I mean is that you cannot generalise and say dinosaurs were colorful and beautiful.

It’s funny how we’ve never found a full fossil skeleton of a dinosaur. It’s also funny how literally every single ancient culture recognized & or even worshipped dragons. All over the world from Asia to Europe to Africa and the America’s. Even the Bible talks about dragons existing. But here we are discussing what “dinosaurs” possibly looked like. We’re expected to believe dragons are just a made up fairy tale but I think HisStory is hiding something. Great video though I love the animation. Just hoping to fuel some imagination.

lovely episode as always :) 4:28 the modern dinosaur in extinct dinosaur costume is great! also, I'm glad when educators point out clarification (e.g. at that moment), that something is not certain, and it is more than less a speculation about presented information - I'm just sad when someone states something as facts when we are not sure about that.

Many people might think that documenting our present is pointless because you could just enjoy the present just as much without ever documenting anything, but (aside from arguments that documenting is something you can enjoy in itself and that it lets you look back on and relive wonderful moments) if it's a tragedy to us now that so much about the prehistoric and prehuman past is lost, then it would probably be just as great a tragedy to future beings to not have information about life in our present, our culture, and our civilization. We have the technology to preserve information practically forever. If the right dominoes fall, the entire public human record could end up in asteroid sized deep space archives made of glass, shock absorbent materials, and radiation shielding with enough redundancy to last until the heat death of the universe. That entire record could be accessed time and time again by our descendants (both biological and technological) and any alien species that spots it. And that's just what we can do with the technology we have right now (minus building the archives in space). In the future we might even be able to build super long term radio transmitters and energy sources that can last til heat death too to make some of these archives easier to find

We need to purge the word "evolution" out of the scientific dictionary in favor of "random selective breeding". If Machine learning and the iterative process has taught us anything, it is that the infinite possibility of one "random" event setting off an infinite set of iriterations and infinite coincidences (in 'only' 4 billion years mind you)...is infinitely improbable, impossible and down right ignorant.
