alphadawn2015 lennon You are right of course, - there are dozens more British accents, but this video is for American actors, and is the UK accent which casting directors in the USA most want for the hundreds of productions of Shakespeare, Stoppard, Shaw and Wilde (yes I know he was Irish) in the USA each year. If people want the wonderful Northern, Welsh - or other accents - they can come for coaching, but this one is what they most ask for. Sorry if it caused any offense. John Windsor-Cunningham

As a british person, i can confirm that you are doing a pretty much perfect dorset accent, or southern british accent. It's really only the pronounciation of the 'A's that differs between english and american accents, and that also tends to be where people mess up when trying to do a british accent. cool video btw

WOW! Now I really can do a sort of convincing British accent! Also, is it just me or are you trying to read every comment in your very best British accent? 🤣

Idk why this caught my interest so hard. I have no desire to learn a British accent, I'm not already British, and I'm not even bored. I still watched the entire thing from beginning to end while repeating everything, though. Awesome video.

I've noticed if a scentece end with ah or uh vowels and the next word starts with a vowel, there is usually a slight r at the end of it sometimes. (Example: Lava, Lava[r]). Something I've mentally noted when trying a British accent. I just randomly noticed it.

You know when I was little I actually pronounced a lot of these words like a British person. My R was always silent and my A was not Aye, but ahh. In 3rd grade they put me in a speech learning class to get away from making these same sounds. It actually feels weird to say them like this again.

As a Brit this is the first time that I've heard an American actually do the British accent correctly!! You have changed my preconceptions towards Americans sir.
